* Salinas shots fired outside graduation party in the 1200 block of Polk Street

Salinas police are seeking a suspected gang member who fired a gun in the air and ground after not being allowed into a graduation party at a home Saturday night.Shortly after 10:50 p.m., police responded to the 1200 block of Polk Street for a report of shots fired in the area.No shooting victim was found by arriving officers, who encountered a large graduation party at a home in the neighborhood, police said.The homeowner told officers that he was removing five juveniles from the party because alcohol was being served there, according to police.As he was removing the juveniles, the man was approached by five Hispanic men between 19 and 24 years old who wanted to join the party.When the man refused, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired it into the air and the ground and shouted gang slogans. The suspects then fled on foot toward Tulane Street, police said.No one was injured in the incident.
