Officers arrested two boys Thursday night after at least one of them reportedly broke into a woman’s house in Walnut Creek, police said today. Police received a call at about 7:25 p.m. from a woman who said someone had just entered her home in the 700 block of Savannah Circle. Officers responded to the area and began searching for the suspect. While motor officers were checking the nearby canal trail, two boys came out of a hiding place and began running. More officers arrived in the area and set up a perimeter. With help from citizens and two police dogs from Walnut Creek and Concord police, officers eventually found the two boys hiding in a backyard
in the 3000 block of Santa Paula Drive in Concord. The boys were arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and sent to juvenile hall in Martinez. Their names aren’t being released because they are juveniles.
