Fairfield police are searching for a man they suspect was involved in the Friday night stabbing of a Suisun City man. Officers responding to reports of a stabbing in the 1700 block of Indiana Street at 5:17 p.m. found the bleeding 27-year-old victim with chest wounds inflicted by a kitchen knife, police said. Police said they are looking for Fairfield resident Dwayne Pearson, 28, who allegedly fled the scene on foot before police arrived. The victim told officers he traveled to the residence to discuss a matter with 28-year-old Dwayne Pearson, but that talks escalated into a physical fight resulting in the stabbing. The victim was transported by helicopter to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, where he was treated for his injuries and released. Pearson, who police described as 6 feet tall black man weighing 180 pounds, was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, a hat and jeans.
