A 23-year-old woman is being sought by Antioch police for her alleged involvement in a marijuana grow operation that was discovered during a response to a house fire in the city on Tuesday. The fire was reported at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 5300 block of Rockrose Way, according to police. After the blaze was extinguished, investigators determined its cause was illegal wiring associated with a large marijuana grow operation that was discovered in the home. The wiring was routed to bypass the meter so the electrical bill would not reflect the actual usage, and the rest of the house was also modified to cultivate the marijuana, police said. More than 500 plants were eventually seized from the home after a search warrant was obtained. When police officers arrived at the scene of the fire, they were told that a woman the neighbors knew as the resident was at the home when firefighters arrived, but left before police arrived. That woman is believed to be Juan Xue, and is being sought by police. Xue is described as an Asian woman who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, police said. Investigators are also looking into the possibility of other people being involved in the grow operation. .
