* Home invasion robbery in Oakland leaves one man shot at marijuana grow house near 40th Avenue

One man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound and two others arrested after an attempted robbery at an Oakland home that contained a large indoor marijuana grow, police said.Police responded to reports of a robbery at a home near 40th Avenue and San Leandro Street at about 2 a.m., Oakland police spokeswoman Holly Joshi said. Officers arrived to find a male resident beaten and shot. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Joshi said. Police found between 400 and 500 marijuana plants at the home. Three suspects were spotted a short time later and two were arrested. Roughly five hours later, Oakland firefighters battling a one-alarm house fire a few miles away in the 3900 block of Angelo Avenue discovered a second indoor marijuana that consisted of about 200 plants.
