Detectives believe that a 25-year-old woman shot and killed her father last week in Martinez, police Cmdr. Gary Peterson said today.Police found the victim, 59-year-old Paul Fletcher, at about 12:45 p.m. Thursday inside a house in the 4600 block of Pacheco Boulevard. He died from an apparent gunshot wound, Peterson said. Detectives worked on the case throughout the weekend and served search warrants in Martinez and Emeryville. Today they identified the suspect as Christina Fletcher, a resident of Martinez and Emeryville, Peterson said. Christina Fletcher has not been arrested because she is in the hospital for treatment of an unrelated medical issue, Peterson said.Detectives plan to present the case to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office later this week and intend to arrest Christina Fletcher as soon as she is released from the hospital, Peterson said.He said he could not release any information about what allegedly led to the shooting.
