A man was found dead in North Richmond this morning and investigators with the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office are treating the death as a homicide, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.At 6:38 a.m., a passerby reported seeing a body on the side of the road in the 1900 block of Garden Tract Road, sheriff’s Lt. Steve Simpkins said. Sheriff’s deputies responded and confirmed the death. Investigators believe the man was killed elsewhere and then dumped at the location where he was found by the passerby, Simpkins said.No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide, he said. The death comes just days after a drive-by shooting less than a mile away that left three men dead and a fourth injured. That shooting occurred at about 9 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of Truman Street, according to the sheriff’s office.
