Two suspects were arrested in Pleasanton on Thursday night after police allegedly found them prowling a neighborhood in an Acura that had been stolen in Oakland.Hayward resident Loren Campbell, 20, and a 16-year-old Oakland girl were arrested after police discovered they were driving a car that had been stolen from a house that was burglarized and ransacked. Pleasanton police stopped the pair at about 12:30 p.m. near Laurel Creek and Blessing drives. They had been driving around the neighborhood in a silver Acura when a resident noticed them and thought they looked suspicious, Pleasanton police said. The resident had seen the girl knocking on doors in the neighborhood and called the police.Officers stopped the car and discovered it had been stolen from a home in Oakland, which had been burglarized and ransacked. Campbell was on parole for burglary.Pleasanton police detained the pair until Oakland police came and arrested them at about 5 p.m.Pleasanton police said the Tri-Valley area has experienced an increase in residential burglaries where suspects have been seen knocking on doors to see if anyone is home. If nobody answers the door, suspects force their way into the homes. Residents are therefore encouraged to report suspicious and activity immediately.
