* Stabbing at San Jerardo Cooperative at 24500 Calle El Rosario near Salinas

A 17-year-old boy who was drinking with a friend in Monterey County Tuesday apparently passed out and woke up to find he had been stabbed numerous times and his truck had been stolen, according to the sheriff’s office.Deputies went to the San Jerardo Cooperative at 24500 Calle El Rosario near Salinas at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday after a teenage boy showed up there with stab wounds, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. The boy told investigators he had been drinking in his green Chevrolet pickup truck with a friend named Edgar, who was he said is associated with the Sureno gang. The victim said he became so intoxicated he lost consciousness.He later woke up in a field in severe pain. He had been stabbed five times in the abdomen, once in the left arm and three times in his back, according to the sheriff’s office. His truck and Edgar had disappeared. The victim managed to make his way to the cooperative camp and the sheriff’s office was called.The suspect is believed to reside on San Pablo Street in Seaside, according to the sheriff’s office. He is described as a Hispanic man in his late teens to early 20s, with brown eyes and black hair. He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.
