A 54-year-old man was strangled at a homeless encampment in San Jose over the weekend and a man and woman have been arrested in connection with the murder, police said today.A homeless man made a 911 call to police at about 10:50 a.m. Saturday reporting a dead man under the Branham Lane bridge about 100 yards east of Alameda Expressway in the Guadalupe Creek area, according to police.Investigators found no signs of foul play at the time, but an autopsy conducted Tuesday revealed Darold Nunes, a transient, had been strangled, police spokesman Dirk Parsons said.Police arrested Kathleen Hixson, 44, and Michael Mosier, 42, both transients, at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday and they were booked into jail in Santa Clara County on murder charges early this morning, Parsons said.There have been nine homicides in San Jose this year.
