Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies arrested two high school students Monday after a handgun was found on campus.Deputies responded to El Molino High School at 7050 Covey Road in the community of Forestville at about 10:40 a.m. on reports of a student with a gun.School officials told sheriff’s investigators that they had checked out rumors of a gun on campus and found one student in possession of a Glock 9mm handgun and found another student carrying 9mm ammunition. Investigators learned that one of the students had taken the gun from his father’s house and brought it to school for protection. The student then handed the firearm over to another student, who was caught with it by school officials.Both students were arrested and booked into juvenile hall on weapons charges.
