A Fairfield man was arrested today on suspicion of homicide in a residence on N Gate Road on Sunday, according to the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.Juan Jaimes-Mendoza, 33, was arrested at 12:45 a.m.,sheriff’s Lt. Gary Faulkner said. He was booked into the Solano County jail for murder and is being held under no bail.The Solano County coroner’s office identified the victim as Maria Jaimes-Silva, 35, of Vacaville. She was the victim of a gunshot and was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m. Sunday. An autopsy is pending.The fatal shooting happened in the 4900 block of N Gate Road. Sheriff’s deputies found the woman’s body inside the home.
