Six students at McClymonds High School in Oakland have been arrested for allegedly stealing two handguns and a rifle from a residence near the school, according to Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason.The weapons were taken from a residence in the 1000 block of 28th Street, which is adjacent to the campus at 2601 Myrtle St., in an incident that was reported to police at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.Three of the students were arrested a short time later on 26th Street near Filbert Street, which is in the same area, Thomason said.The other three students were arrested on the McClymonds campus today, he said.The students’ ages range from 15 to 17 and they face potential burglary and illegal gun possession charges, Thomason said.
