A 15-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting in South San Francisco on Tuesday night, police said today. The shooting was reported at about 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Hickory Place, South San Francisco police Sgt. Joni Lee said. Responding officers found the victim lying in the street between two parked cars.
He had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police learned the boy had been walking with another juvenile when a silver minivan drove by them going north on Hickory Place, Lee said. The van stopped and a male exited, firing three to four shots at the juveniles before getting back inside the vehicle. The van then drove away north toward Olive Avenue.
The vehicle is described as a late 1990s or 2000s silver minivan with tinted rear windows and sliding doors on both sides.
