Santa Cruz police are investigating the attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old boy Tuesday afternoon, a police spokesman said today.The boy said he was approached as he was waiting to be picked up by his father on the corner of Moore and High streets at about 4 p.m., police spokesman Zach Friend said. He said two men drove up to him in a van and told him to get into the car, Friend said. The boy fled and ran into a friend and his friend’s mother. He was uninjured.The suspects were both described as white men with medium builds, brown hair and brown eyes. One may have had a tattoo on his neck, Friend said.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department at (831) 420-5820.
