A man who was found dead in an irrigation ditch on the outskirts of Tracy on Monday has been identified as 42-year-old Richmond resident Reyes Gastelumi-Robles, San Joaquin County sheriff’s spokesman Les Garcia said today.A jogger found the body at about 9:15 a.m. Monday in a rural area near Greenwood and Kasson roads, Garcia said.Gastelumi-Robles had suffered severe head trauma and the sheriff’s office is investigating the case as a homicide, Garcia said.He said investigators found a blood trail from the edge of the road leading to the ditch where the body was found, which suggests that the Gastelumi-Robles was killed elsewhere and then dragged to the ditch, possibly from a car.As of this morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the killing and the sheriff’s office is still investigating the case.
