* Cipriano Longoria-Ramirez Dies After Being Shot in Bay Point

A 23-year-old man died after a shooting in unincorporated Bay Point early this morning, a Contra Costa County sheriff’s spokesman said.At about 1:25 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a call from the Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center in Martinez about a gunshot victim. The victim, Bay Point resident Cipriano Longoria-Ramirez, died upon arrival at the hospital, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said. Investigators learned that Longoria-Ramirez had been taken to the hospital by a family member. Deputies were sent to the 100 block of Bailey Road where the shooting occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex, Lee said. Investigators remained at the scene this morning interviewing possible witnesses. No arrests have been made and no suspect information was available this morning, he said.
