A man was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run Tuesday night after allegedly hitting a bicyclist in San Carlos on Monday then leaving the scene, police said. At around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, a 26-year-old Redwood City man riding his bike in the 300 block of El Camino Real was struck from behind by a car, San Carlos police said.He was wearing a helmet, which protected him from severe injuries, but suffered wounds to his face, arms, hands and legs, police said.The driver fled afterward but the car, a 1986 Chrysler LeBaron, was later found parked in the 300 block of Elm Street in San Carlos. Its windshield was smashed and there were dents to the hood, roof and front of the car, police said.Detectives believe the driver was 20-year-old Belmont resident Bryan James Arroyo. He was taken into custody Tuesday night outside his home.Arroyo was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and filing of a false report for reporting his car stolen to Belmont police. He was booked into San Mateo County jail.
