* Osiel Cardenas Guillen Drug Cartel Kingpin Surrenders $50 Million Dollars

Gulf Cartel leader Osiel Cardenas Guillen was sentenced to 25 years without parole for major drug trafficking crimes. He headed the cartel until he was captured and extradited to the U.S in 2003. He is also ordered to forfeit $50 million dollars of illegal drug trafficking profits and pay a $100,000 in fines. He will be placed on 5 years probation after he finishes serving his 25 year prison sentence.
