* Teenager Robbed of Gunpoint in Fairfield

Fairfield teen was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday night, Fairfield police said. The 16-year-old resident was walking on a trail between Texas Street and Dover Avenue at around 9:52 p.m. when five to six men approached him, police said. Police said that one of the suspects pointed a silver revolver at the victim and demanded his property. The suspect then hit the victim over the head with the gun and took the victim’s gym bag.The victim reported that the gun discharged when he was hit over the head, but there were no independent reports of shots fired in the area. The victim declined medical treatment. He described his assailants as black males wearing dark clothing. Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest of these suspects.
