An Ohio man was arrested for fraud in Union City Monday after leading federal law enforcement officers on a cross-country manhunt, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Dale Zucker, 61, was arrested at about 11:45 a.m. in a Wal-Mart parking lot – almost three months after Deputy Marshals began looking for him. Zucker was scheduled to appear in a Cleveland, Ohio court in January to face federal fraud charges, but he fled to Florida instead. Deputy Marshals then tracked him to Austin, Texas, before discovering he had fled once again – this time to the San Francisco Bay Area. Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern California Fugitive Strike Task Force were brought into the search, and within a few days, deputies had set up surveillance on several locations. On Monday, someone fitting a description of Zucker was seen driving into a Wal-Mart parking lot. When members of the fugitive task force pulled the man over, it turned out to be Zucker. He was in possession of a loaded Kel-Tec
semiautomatic handgun at the time. Zucker was arrested without incident and will soon be extradited back to Cleveland.
