* Timothy Priolo pleads not guilty to vehicular manslaughter of his passenger Aaron Vega while allegedly trying to elude Los Gatos police

A San Jose man who crashed his Mustang, killing one of his passengers, while allegedly trying to elude Los Gatos police in January pleaded not guilty in Santa Clara County Superior Court today to multiple charges stemming from the crash, according to the district attorney’s office.Timothy Priolo, 23, faces charges of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, eluding a pursuing peace officer and causing the death of another person, and driving without a valid license due to a prior conviction of driving under the influence,district attorney spokeswoman Amy Cornell said.Priolo crashed his black Mustang into a tree and a pole at the intersection of Los Gatos Boulevard and Nino Avenue in the early morning hours of Jan. 31, according to Los Gatos police. His front seat passenger, Aaron Vega, died at the crash site. Priolo and two passengers sitting in the back seat were seriously injured.A trial date will be set for Priolo on June 7. If he is convicted, he could spend up to 13 years in prison, according to Cornell.
