A 54-year-old Vacaville woman was arrested Saturday for selling alcohol to a minor during a citywide enforcement operation, according to police. Katherine Shea allegedly sold alcohol to a juvenile decoy after checking the minor’s California driver’s license. Several decoys tried to purchase alcohol from 14 convenience stores, grocery stores and liquor stores throughout the city Saturday night, according to police. Under the direct supervision of Vacaville police officers and an Alcoholic Beverage Control agent, the minors also asked 10 adults standing outside businesses to buy alcohol for them. None of the adults complied. The operation was funded by a grant from the Alcoholic Beverage Control. Residents who suspect illegal activity are asked to call the Police Department’s 24-hour non-emergency number: (707) 449-5200.
