The Gilroy Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in this sketch. Detective Stan Devlin reports that on April 21, 2010 at about 12:30 pm, the female victim went to use the restroom at the south end of the Gilroy Outlets. As the victim went into the restroom she saw the suspect standing near the door. As the victim opened the door to the restroom, she heard the suspect say “Hurry up babe”. The victim saw a female and child near the sink area. The victim also noticed that two other stalls were occupied. The victim heard a female voice say “ok” but she cannot tell who said it. As the victim opened the stall door the suspect was standing at the door and immediately “punched” the victim in the face and grabbed at the her purse. The victim fought back and was able to kick him in the groin and scratch him on the face. The suspect was able to get the purse and he then fled the area. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 35 years of age or older, 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall, 170-180 pounds, short black hair, black mustache. He was wearing black sunglasses, black jacket, black baggy jeans and black work boots.
