* Vacaville Police Looking for Suspect that Shot Teen on Markham Avenue near Trower Park

Vacaville police are looking for four suspects in the shooting of a 17-year-old boy Thursday night. Police responded at 9 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 500 block of Markham Avenue near Trower Park. As officers combed the area, the police dispatchers reported Vaca Valley Hospital was treating a 17-year-old boy who was shot once in the back, Sgt. Jim Mayoral said. The wound was not life threatening and the boy was released from the hospital, Mayoral said. Police learned the victim was involved in a confrontation with four Hispanic men between 18 and 22 years old when he was shot, Mayoral said.After he was shot by one of the suspects, the boy ran back to his residence and his family took him to the hospital, Mayoral said.
