Police in Concord are investigating two armed robberies of convenience stores that were committed within less than an hour of each other on Wednesday night, Lt. Jim Lardieri said.The first robbery was reported shortly after 10 p.m. at a convenience store in the 3400 block of Clayton Road. The second robbery was reported 40 minutes later at a liquor store in the 1700 block of Willow Pass Road.In both cases, the suspects entered the store and one brandished a gun and demanded money from the clerk, police said. They stole cash from the first store, but didn’t get anything from the second store.
The suspects then fled on foot and no vehicle was seen, police said.Police searched the areas with a police dog after each robbery, but did not find the suspects.The suspect with the gun was described as a black male in his late teens or 20s, standing about 6 feet tall and wearing dark clothing. The second suspect was also described as a black male in his late teens or early
20s wearing dark clothing.
