A 19-year-old man who was stabbed in San Jose tonight knocked on the door of a nearby home to ask a resident to call authorities, a police spokesman said. The stabbing happened at about 8:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of Ravenscourt Avenue, police Officer Jose Garcia said. The victim was taken to a local hospital and preliminary reports indicate his injury is not life threatening. Garcia said the victim knocked on the door of a nearby home after being stabbed and that a resident then called police. The motive of the stabbing remains under investigation. “At this point it appears the victim does not know the suspect or suspects,” Garcia said. He said at least one suspect is believed to have driven away from the area.
