A Rohnert Park man suspected in a home invasion robbery near Spring Lake Park in Santa Rosa was arrested after a manhunt on Tuesday.John Mark Haun, 39, was booked into Sonoma County jail for robbery,possession of stolen property, being a felon in possession of a firearm, using a firearm during the commission of a felony and resisting arrest. He is being held on $40,000 bail. Sonoma County sheriff’s Sgt. Tim Duke said a robbery in progress was reported in the 200 block of Brey Road in east Santa Rosa at 6:30 a.m.A witness told responding deputies that the suspect ran from the home toward a creek that runs between Channel and Montgomery drives a few hundred yards away, Duke said.The sheriff’s department set up a perimeter along both sides of the creek. A sheriff’s helicopter, sheriff’s deputies and K-9 teams from Santa Rosa and Petaluma searched the heavily wooded area for three hours, Duke said.Haun was found hiding in brush along the creek at about 9:15 a.m. A black nylon pouch containing a stolen handgun was found in the spot where Haun was hiding, Duke said.Haun is scheduled to be arraigned Friday afternoon in Sonoma County Superior Court.
