A 56-year-old woman who San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies initially thought had killed herself last week is now believed to have been murdered, a sheriff’s lieutenant said today.Parima Parineh’s husband Peter Parineh called 911 at about 4 p.m. Tuesday and said he had come home to find his wife had shot herself, San Mateo County sheriff’s Lt. Ray Lunny said.Emergency responders found Parima Parineh in a bedroom of her house on Fox Hill Road, in an unincorporated area near Woodside, and pronounced her dead at the scene, Lunny said.An autopsy and evidence at the scene, however, indicated that Parima Parineh had been murdered, according to Lunny. There were no signs of forced entry, nor was there any indication that Parima Parineh did not know her killer, Lunny said.No suspects have been arrested, and detectives are in the process of interviewing her family members, who authorities said are not cooperating with the investigation.
