* Marlindia Welch arrested on suspicion of burglarizing at least two homes on Darrell Road in Hillsborough

A 39-year-old woman was arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion of burglarizing at least two homes on Darrell Road in Hillsborough, police said.Officers responded to a residential burglar alarm in the 500 block of Darrell Road at about 3:30 p.m. and saw a 1995 gold minivan speeding from the immediate area, police said.The officers conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver of the minivan, Marlindia Welch of Fairfield, had been involved in the reported burglary, according to police.An investigation of the house revealed a broken rear window, and property from another home in the 200 block of Darrell Road was found in the minivan as well, police said.Authorities believe Welch would knock on doors in the neighborhood to determine if anyone was home. She allegedly knocked on a number of doors before burglarizing the home in the 500 block of Darrell Road.Welch was booked into San Mateo County jail on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property, police said.Anyone with information about the case or who may have seen the gold minivan is asked to call the Hillsborough Police Department at (650) 375-7470.
