* San Francisco Police shooting wounds women in the area of Folsom and Langton streets

A San Francisco police officer shot and injured a woman who allegedly drove her car at him this evening in the South of Market neighborhood, a police spokesman said.The woman was driving erratically down Folsom Street and struck other vehicles as she approached Langton Street shortly after 5 p.m., police Officer Samson Chan said. He said the woman drove at a responding police officer, who fired a defensive shot. The woman was injured by the gunfire, according to police, who did not immediately release her condition.Chan said it was too early to say whether the suspect was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.More than 20 police officers remained in the area of Folsom and Langton streets at 5:45 p.m. Police Chief George Gascon has responded to the scene.
