* Narco McFarland shot in the head in Vallejo at 107 Mark Ave. released from hospital

Vallejo police said a 19-year-old man who was shot in the head Sunday night was released from the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek this morning.Narco McFarland was leaving a relative’s home at 107 Mark Ave. around 8:40 p.m. when two men wearing masks or bandanas approached him, Lt. Abel Tenorio said.One of the suspects fired a handgun and the bullet lodged behind McFarland’s right ear, Tenorio said. McFarland was able to get back inside the doorway of his relative’s house, Tenorio said.The suspects fled in a 1990s or 2000 orange-colored BMW. It is not known if the suspects said anything to McFarland, who told police he did not know the suspects, Tenorio said.Police officers and firefighters also heard gunshots about a block away after they responded to the shooting, Tenorio said.The shooting happened near a fatal shooting on Mark Avenue on Feb. 14, Tenorio said.
