* Marin County Sheriff’s Detectives Release Photos of Alleged Bank of Marin Robber

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office has released a photo on its Web site of a man suspected of robbing the Bank of Marin on Monday near Mill Valley and others in March. The suspect entered the bank at 23 Reed Blvd. in Strawberry, an unincorporated area of the county near Mill Valley, around 11:45 a.m., pointed a black revolver at a teller and demanded money. He then left carrying a black satchel. The suspect is between 45 and 55 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 pounds, sheriff’s Sgt. Debra Barry said. He was wearing a black wig, silver-rim glasses, a brown sports coat, purple shirt, blue jeans and black gloves. Witnesses said he spoke with an unknown foreign accent, Barry said.Sheriff’s detectives believe the man is linked to a bank robbery in Elk Grove on March 29, a bank robbery in Tracy and an attempted bank robbery in San Ramon, both on March 8.
