A 21-year-old Daly City man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed during an argument with his sister’s boyfriend this morning, according to police. Edy Sarceno-Florian, a 23-year-old undocumented immigrant from Guatemala, was arrested for attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed the man so badly his internal organs were visible, police said. At 5:03 a.m., police responded to the stabbing at an apartment at 60 Kent Court. Upon arrival they found a bloodied, hysterical woman running in the street, who told officers her boyfriend had stabbed her brother. Inside, officers found a 21-year-old man lying in the hallway and suffering from serious wounds to his abdomen. He was rushed to the trauma unit at San Francisco General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and remained in life-threatening condition this afternoon. A preliminary investigation revealed Sarceno-Florian, his girlfriend, age 27, and her brother all lived in the apartment together. Sacreno-Florian and the victim had been drinking all night and apparently got in an argument because of a domestic dispute between Sarceno-Florian and the girlfriend. The argument escalated until Sarceno-Florian pulled out a folding knife and slashed the victim’s torso. One of the victim’s acquaintances was there during the assault, and he held Sarceno-Florian until police arrived. Sarceno-Florian was booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
