* Walnut Creek Chase Bank Robbed-Help Police Identify Suspect

Walnut Creek police are investigating the armed robbery of a Chase bank in the city this afternoon. The robbery was reported shortly before 2:50 p.m. at the bank located in the Palos Verdes Mall near Pleasant Hill Road and Camino Verde, according to police. The suspect entered the bank and approached a teller, pointed a stun gun at the teller and other employees, and demanded cash, police said. The suspect took cash as well as other employee and customer property before fleeing in a white Toyota minivan with a dark-colored roof rack. The vehicle’s license plate number was similar to 5AGW668, according to
police. Officers responding to the report of the robbery did not find the suspect after searching the area. The suspect is described as a white man who is about 30 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighs about 175 pounds with an average build. He was last seen wearing a white plastic painter’s suit with a hood, dark baseball hat, a white painter’s mask and orange-tinted sunglasses, police said.
