A man who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Richmond on Friday has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office as 36-year-old San Pablo resident Jason Walker.Police were called to the 300 block of South Ninth Street at about 5:35 p.m.on reports of a shooting, police said.When officers arrived, they found Walker in a black Nissan suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A second victim was found near the car, police said. That man was taken to a hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his lower body. He is in serious but stable condition and is expected to survive.Richmond police Lt. Johan Simon said shortly after the shooting that it appears that a vehicle drove by the victims and someone inside fired several rounds. The motive is still under investigation.
