The FBI said today it charged a Novato man accused of making sexual advances and comments to four Marin County girls this month with production and possession of child pornography. Marin County Chief Deputy District Attorney Kathryn Mitchell confirmed the federal charges were added and said Jonathan Douglas Hill, 30, will not be prosecuted in Marin County until the federal charges are adjudicated in U.S. District Court in San Francisco. Hill was scheduled to enter a plea Tuesday in Marin County Superior Court to four felony and eight misdemeanor charges that include annoying or molesting a child, indecent exposure and committing immoral acts in the presence of a child. The three offenses, involving four girls ages 9 to 11, allegedly
occurred in the Marinwood and Kentfield areas between March 9 and March 20. Marin County sheriff’s office investigators said they found what they called a “rape kit” in Hill’s Novato home. The items included a backpack containing duct tape, flexible restraints, a plastic tarp, protective shoe covers, latex gloves, lubricant and condoms. Hill’s cell phone also contained child pornography images and print and digital images of child pornography were found in Hill’s home, the sheriff’s office said.
