On Friday, August 15th, 2008, San Jose Police officers received a call of shots fired in the area of King Rd. and Flannigan Dr. When they arrived, officers found the 16-year-old Ricky Edward Montoya Gerkin lying in the parking lot of a convenience store. He had been fatally shot. Although this crime occurred 18 months ago, the suspect or suspects remain at large.
