A 29-year-old man was fatally shot in South San Francisco Tuesday evening, and investigators are trying to determine whether the killing was gang-related, a police sergeant said today. Officers responded to the 300 block of Lux Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. after receiving numerous reports of shots fired, South San Francisco police Sgt. Joni Lee said.The victim, who is believed to have been a transient but whose name has not yet been released, was found outside suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to Lee. Lee said the neighborhood where Tuesday’s murder occurred was the scene of a shooting last year as well.”It is known as a gang area,” she said. “But we don’t know if this is gang-related.”No suspects have been arrested in the case.
