Police in Fairfield utilized video surveillance to track down a gunman after a shooting was reported Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded to a report of a man with a gun in the area of Bristol Lane and Tabor Avenue at around 2:50 p.m., according to Fairfield police. A victim or subject were not located at the scene. Investigators turned to video footage from police cameras that were placed in the neighborhood around two years ago. A 19-year-old man who fired a gun to scare off other subjects was identified in the footage.At around 4:40 p.m., a patrol officer saw the suspect, Fairfield resident Lester Jenkins, in the 1200 block of Tabor Avenue, police said. Jenkins was arrested and booked into Solano County jail for discharging a firearm in a negligent manner.
