Police have identified a man who died after being shot inside an East Oakland apartment early this morning. Michael Williams Jr.,29, of Oakland, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in an apartment in the 3300 block of 72nd Avenue by officers responding to a report of a shooting at 1:16 a.m.Williams was taken to a hospital, where he died.Police have not yet determined a motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made in the case.Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Police Department’s homicide unit at (510) 238-3821.
