* Gang Shooting San Francisco Bayview District Near Commer And Garlington Courts

A 28 year-old man is clinging to life today after being shot Thursday afternoon in San Francisco’s Bayview District in what investigators believe may have been a gang-related retaliation for another shooting the day before.Thursday’s shooting occurred at about 1:40 p.m. near the intersection of Commer and Garlington courts, according to police spokesman Sgt. Wilfred Williams. The victim was shot by a male suspect and suffered life-threatening injuries, according to Williams.”We do believe it to be gang-related,” Williams said.Williams said the shooting may have been related to a shooting on Wednesday morning just blocks away.In that incident, a 17-year-old boy was hit in the leg in an apparent drive-by shooting near Oakdale Avenue and Baldwin Court at about 8:45 a.m.Police said they believe the victim may be a gang member.No arrests have been made in connection with either shooting.Police declined to release further information about Thursday’s shooting.
