A Santa Rosa man was arrested twice Wednesday on marijuana charges after Rohnert Park police allegedly found the drug in his car and home.Rohnert Park Public Safety Officer Jason Williams stopped 41-year-old Stephen Potter Elliot’s vehicle for an expired registration around 8:40 p.m. on the Rohnert Park Expressway, police said.Williams searched the car after smelling marijuana and found more than two pounds of pot and $55,000 in cash in the car, police said.Elliot was booked into the Sonoma County jail for possession of marijuana for sale and transporting marijuana. He posted bail and returned to his home on Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa, police said.Rohnert Park narcotics detectives were waiting. They had obtained a search warrant and found 200 marijuana plants growing inside the home, police said.Detectives also found 13 pounds of processed marijuana sealed and packaged for transportation, evidence of marijuana sales and more than $4,600 in cash, police said. Police said detectives also found a handgun that was stolen in San Francisco, a small amount of methamphetamines and paraphernalia, psychedelic mushrooms and prescription pills in the house.Elliot was arrested again in connection with the possession of those items and was re-booked into the county jail, police said.
