A woman who was killed in Oakley Wednesday afternoon has been identified as 21-year-old Oakley resident Elizabeth Reyes, a Contra Costa County deputy coroner said today.Oakley police were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Pheasant Way at about 4:25 p.m. on reports of a suspicious circumstance and found Reyes unresponsive in the home, Contra Costa County sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said. Fire Department personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.Deputies located the man believed to have reported the incident in the 400 block of West Fourth Street in Antioch just before 4:40 p.m. Francisco Javier Ayala-Lares, 21, was detained and taken to the sheriff’s office field operations building to be interviewed. He was later booked into the county jail on suspicion of homicide, Lee said.The motive for the killing is still under investigation and the coroner’s office was conducting an autopsy this morning on Reyes’ body to determine a cause of death.Detectives believe the suspect and the victim had a relationship, but are still trying to determine the exact nature of that relationship, Lee said.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (925) 646-2441.
