* Christopher Greco Identified As Man Who Died In San Jose Police Custody

San Jose police today identified a man who collapsed and died as he was being booked into jail late last month as 26-year-old Christopher Greco.Greco, a San Jose resident, was arrested the evening of Feb. 26 in the 5800 block of Laguna Seca Way on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle, police Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.Lopez said Greco was taken into custody without incident and that no force was used. Greco collapsed as he was being booked into the Santa Clara County main jail. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.The cause of Greco’s death remains under investigation and the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office is awaiting the results of toxicology tests.
