* Man Shot on Mead Avenue in Oakland

A man was fatally shot in Oakland this morning, according to the Police Department. The shooting was reported at about 5:40 a.m. in the 800 block of Mead Avenue, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects have been
arrested, police said.The block has been the site of a number of deadly shootings in past years, most recently on Feb. 7 when a 38-year-old man was fatally shot on that street.
