* Man and Woman Shot On 3rd Street In Richmond

Two people were shot inside a Richmond home this weekend, a police lieutenant said this morning. Several shots were detected on the Richmond Police Department’s Shot Spotter alert system at about 12:55 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Third Street, Lt. George Garcia said. A woman and a man were found inside the home with gunshot wounds. They were taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The shots are believed to have been fired from the street, Garcia said. Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle leave the area following the shooting, but no description of the vehicle or its occupants was reported.
