* Fernando Gomez And A Juvenile Were Arrested In Union City For Possession Of Stolen Property

An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property in Union City on Thursday afternoon after a traffic stop led to the discovery of evidence from a burglary that had just occurred nearby, according to police.At about 2:40 p.m. Thursday, a burglary was reported at a home on Dartmouth Avenue. Shortly afterward, officers stopped a vehicle with several suspects in it near the intersection of Teddy Drive and Sumac Street.Officers located property in the vehicle but could not confirm the items were stolen. However, the 16-year-old boy was arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to police.After further investigation, officers determined the items were stolen from the home on Dartmouth Avenue, and they located more stolen property at another home.Fernando Gomez and the juvenile were arrested on suspicion of stolen property, police said.
