* Man Shot In North Richmond In Drive By Shooting

The sheriff’s office is investigating a drive-by shooting that took place in Contra Costa County Wednesday night. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of Fifth Street in North Richmond at around 8:05 p.m., Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Lt. George Wright said. Deputies arrived and found a man who had been shot at least once, Wright said. He was taken to a hospital and reported to be in stable condition this morning. Investigators determined that three men in a van drove up and fired multiple rounds from the vehicle, wounding the victim. No arrests were made, Wright said.
