Contra Costa County sheriff’s detectives arrested four people over the weekend in connection with the December homicide of 18-year-old Martinez resident Eric Bean, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said today.A passerby found Bean’s body on Dec. 21 along McEwen Road in a remote area west of Martinez. He had been strangled and beaten on the head.Investigators believe he was killed in Benicia and then his body was dumped on McEwen Road, Lee said.On Saturday, detectives working the case served three search warrants in Benicia, one on Carolina Drive, one on Seaview Drive and a third on East Second Street, Lee said.They arrested 36-year-old Vallejo resident Timothy Delosreyes and his son 18-year-old Crockett resident Timothy Delosreyes Jr. along with Benicia residents Melody Rives, 30, and Robert Gardner, 32, Lee said.All four suspects were booked into county jail in Martinez on suspicion of murder, torture, kidnapping, conspiracy and being an accessory, Lee said. Bail has been set for each suspect at $2,620,000.Investigators have not determined the motive for the killing, but believe it was linked to drugs and weapons, Lee said. Investigators plan to present the case to the Contra Costa County district attorney’s office on Wednesday.
